Crash addresses: Reasons and Solutions [UPDATED]

The below table lists some common client crash addresses which you can use to help trace the problem and prevent it from occurring in future. In most cases client crashes occur because of a problem in the script. Although, it is worth mentioning that SA-MP is pretty stable nowadays.
However if you can't find the crash code you experienced in your SAMP client; you can ask for a solution below.


0x00000000 = SA-MP is not initializing. SOLUTION = Re-install the game, ensure singleplayer works If you have any mods installed, remove them

0x006E3D17 = Skin related. Often occurs when changing the skin of a player who is in a vehicle, or is just entering or exiting one. SOLUTION = Ensure the player is on foot prior to changing their skin.

0x0058370A = Hard to trace. Appears to be vehicle / camera related. Occured when the script attempted to put the player in a vehicle. The vehicle the player is being teleported into is not yet available and/or rendered in the world SOLUTION = Wait a few hundred-ms before teleporting a player into a vehicle that is newly created. Another solution would potentially be to use SetCameraBehindPlayer prior to teleporting them to the vehicle.

0x0040F64C = Issue in Windows 7 / Vista relating to permissions. Problem in the installer version that the SA-MP client uses SOLUTION = Update to SA-MP 0.3d. If it still occurs rename your GTASA directory.

0x0059F8B4 = Occurs when the client fails to load SA-MP objects. Usually a problem with one an essential file, samp.img being missing SOLUTION = Re-install the client. Try running the installer as Administrator if using Windows Vista / 7.

0x00746929 OR 0x0081214A = Badly configured client side setting. SOLUTION = Click

0x007F0BF7 = Related to vehicle upgrades. Often caused when the server attempts to put an invalid upgrade on a vehicle (EG nos or spoilers on a motorbike). Other causes could be bad client side vehicle mods. SOLUTION = There have been various scripts released on these forums which feature error checking for this.

0x00544BC8 = Object related. Typically occurs when too many objects are showing for the client, i.e. more than what it can handle. SOLUTION = One practical solution may be to use an object handler/streamer. Many streamers on these forums come with configuration settings to decrease the maximum amount of visible objects showing for a player at any given time

0x00415D47 = Object related. Typically occurs when too many object textures are loaded for the client. SOLUTION = Low-level problem that is hard to trace and fix. I think it's somehow related to collisions It occurs randomly depending on the object. Try to remove groups of objects and use the process of elimination to establish which objects are causing it and remove them from your mode.

0x00536DF4 = Object related. Typically occurs when too many object textures are loaded for the client. SOLUTION = See above.



Chat box warning codes

Exception 0xC0000005 at 0x5E5815 = Difficult to trace. The method this address points to does a whole load of things. It processes animation blending based on the surface the ped is standing on and then deals with audio, and is called right after a function which *gives* you weapons... Perhaps what happened here is that some script-invoked event occurred right at the moment that you were entering a vehicle (e.g. receiving a weapon, teleporting or something similar). SOLUTION = None.

Exception 0x0000005 at 0x534134 = Issue with Windows 7 / Vista Access levels SOLUTION = Running SA-MP as administrator appear to fix it.

Exception 0xC0000005 at 0x536DF4 = See 0x00544BC8

Exception 0xC0000005 at 0x7F120E = Invalid vehicle upgrade applied SOLUTION = Click

Exception At Address: 0x0040FB80 | Common crash on windows 7 x64 computers. Happens when you run it in compatibility mode of Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista (any service pack). | Fix by disabling compatibility and running gta_sa.exe as administrator.

Not usefull at all, everytime I crash there's no warning opcode/crash code in this topic.

How can I fix this ?

My SA-MP is all the time crashing when I try to join some server,it's the same on single player,I cant start new game/load game.
This problem appeared after I installed a grass mod that's called" Project Oblivion 2007-2010HQ "

Anyway I have a back up of my GTA,so I can continue playing without any problems,but I would like to know how can I fix that crash,because I like that mod

Big mods like that aren't supported by SA:MP and you don't want to try to make it compatible with SA:MP becuase it will NOT work. Either play single player with that mod or remove it and play both without it.

Use SRT3 Continued + Great Effects Mod 1.6 .

Note: These are just mods to enhance the graphics and texturing capabilities of the game. They aren't going to change structures within the game (ie CLEO)

as I said,I cant even play GTA on single player with this mod,I mean when I start a new game or load game,it stopps working..

Anyway I dont have any problems,because I made a back up of my GTA san andreas,so now I can play samp and single player

BTW Im already using great effects mod,but I dont have any mod for grass/normal trees..

Nah, it wasn't a cleo mod I think (?).
I just wanted to get windowed mode so I downloaded a link for (D3D9.DL; I think it was that). But everytime I logged it it crashed, so I just fucked off Windowed mode. Thank anyway.

What's causing this,does anyone know?
I installed GTA 4 Textures mod ( buildings,roads etc )to my GTA SA and I keep getting a crash like this some minutes after driving around,so is it possible that Im getting the warnings and crashes because of that mod?If so,is there a way to fix that?

Is this your own server if it's i think that you got problem in your script or something , if it is happeing in any other server too then there is something wrong with your mods , try to re-install the whole game SAMP + GTA.

My game crashes instantly after I load SAMP.
I cannot load a game, or play singleplayer. This happened after I installed proper audio files, because they did not work.

Try creating a new username on your PC and login to samp from there. I heard that has helped many people with the same crash error.
If it doesnt work, you should maybe delete d3d9.dll file ( make a back up before you delete it, I guess you have it because of some mods )

Yep I looked up some error on google and found that with d3d9.dll file but that won't work.
Anyway, everything is fixed now. I had to reinstall game and I had to look up a reliable file because the previous one was cracked and did not have proper audio files. Now the game runs smoothly with mods, no crashes. Anyway thanks.

For the first crash there are 2 reasons
1st - server objects related, the gamemode contains AttachObjectToPlayer command which causes crashes to random players, mostly in a small mapped place where +10 players are shooting with different weapons, if they use same 1 you wont get this crash

Wait for Trapy, he might tell you something what I didnt, just make sure first you do what I told you
2nd- vehicle mod for some of the tuneable cars

And about the second crash, again you have a mod for some of the tuneable vehicles which is causing you this crash.
So to fix it try to delete gta_sa.set at Documents --> Gta san andreas user files
After you delete it, open gta sa single player just to get your new gta_sa.set file, after you got it you can play SAMP
If that didnt fix your crash then you should deffinitely get a new custom.img & gta3.img, replace them with your current ones

Wait for Trapy, he might tell you something what I havent already, but make sure first you do what I told you
