Rule Clarification (Banishment of Alternative Accounts in Wars)

August 31st, 2014, 4:08 am

Well, I noticed this ban appeal (Leroy Vitali).

According to woot, an alt account is any account which isn't the highest leveled account from any given player.
Considering his appeal:
yes my main account is a Vinny Costa but i didnt log in that account for about 1 year or more, since it is banned.
Does that mean that, until this account surpasses the 'Vinny Costa' account, or becomes a Tier 0 himself, he's not allowed in any war?

(If so)
Isn't that a bit... you know, unfair?

Please no comments about how he is banned for a reason and serves him right, that's the same as saying that person X that robbed an house is not only convicted for burglary, but also for a murder he didn't commit - kind of

Yes,your main = highest level
it's not unfair, if you want to join a war, make sure you do that through your main, Wars should be won by the members of the faction and not alts from 200 different factions, no exceptions whatsoever

You noob helper, read the post again xD

The issue is that, in that case, the main account isn't used, as it's banned for over a year.

I doubt any high rank member of any faction would leave his position to join a single war. As it is stated by the faction rules, you can't leave your faction to help another in a war and get back to your previous position.

And ye, there must be a clarification what happens if the "main" account is banned.

This isn't regarding "who should be allowed in wars", nor "who is your main account". It's a question regarding why are banned accounts taken into consideration for the "main" status, which in turn means that some people will NOT be allowed to take part in wars until they reach the same/surpass level as the banned account.

A good question, since his main account was banned like forever, why is that account taken into consideration?

It's not. There's a couple of war-participants who have their account banned forever which was higher level, but they're allowed to war on their second account which is from that moment their main.

It is better if you drop a forum PM in either Kelroy or woot, or both's inbox. You will get a better answer from them.

As far as I know, your main account is considered the highest level of an account you own, whether it is banned or not.
When one of your main accounts are banned, and you create an other account and use the excuse 'The other one is banned at it doesn't count'.

In my opinion, that's not a valid excuse.
