How to edit screenshots using GIMP 2.8
Step 1:
Open GIMP 2.8
Step 2:
Create new then choose your image size
Step 3:
Go to your SAMP screenshot folder then choose a screenshot that you want to edit, drag it to GIMP so you can start
This is how it would appear, lets now create a border
Step 4:
Right click on a layer then click on Alpha to Selection
Step 5:
Click "Select" then click Border
Step 6:
Choose how huge your border, I'll choose 1 pixel which I always use on my screenshots
Step 7:
After clicking OK, create a new layer, this will be the border. Make sure it's above the screenshot so it can be seen
Step 8:
Click the Bucket fill tool
Step 9:
Use the Bucket Fill tool then select the new layer we created, then just click on the selected borders. It would appear like this
Lets put some text now. I will just choose random text just to show how I make it.
Step 10:
Go to to a screenshot you want, I dragged it temporarily so I can copy the text
Step 11:
Use the Rectangle Select tool then drag on to the text you wish to copy.
Check SS and see how I do it
Step 12:
Copy the selected texts
Step 13:
Paste it on your 1st screenshot
Step 14:
After pasting, click on new layer so the pasted layer will become a new layer. Move it to the position you wanted.
Step 15:
Click on "File" then click Export to save your work
Note: I'm using GIMP 2.8 because I find it easier than the other tools. I can drag a screenshot to GIMP then I can easily arrange its position without losing its size and quality.Open GIMP 2.8
