Radios and "public" Frequencies

Unfortunately, it has reached a point where we once again need to point out that radios are IN CHARACTER means of communication.
That means you can not react to OOC actions such as players being kicked, killed because it shows up on the kill list, or generally comment on OOC situations on the radio.

Radios are only meant to communicate and organize with your friends, factions or contacts. We have the global OOC function if we believe you can handle talking across the server.
In addition to that function we added groups, and later teams for you to organize across factions and unofficials. You can use them to talk about anything you want - it's up to you.

We will begin cracking down on this on a much larger scale from tonight as it's something all staff members, and many faction leaders have had issues with in the past.

Mixing is a general issue on the server, and this is the first step we will take to limit that problem.
We're all guilty, and we've all done it. Let's look forward now and actually get better.

Initially we will issue kicks or 60 minutes mute on players who abuse the function, repeated offenses may result in /warnings or worse punishments.

Ivo has been banned until further notice, for something much worse than this. :)

It's an in character function, to talk with people inside your vehicle.
However as it's a closed chat, and only people inside the vehicle can see it, it's up to the occupants to enforce the rules on it.

It was created for an IC use. The rules are pretty clear about it.

woot is on vacation, Makke and I are in charge until he returns.
woot still owns IM and is the only one with access to the code and backend administration.

Makke and I have RCON access, a few extra tools and I have access to the filter scripts/FTP.

Hope there won't be double standards on /d like it used to be before.
if talking in radio ooc is mixing, so should be /d.

I haven't seen anyone mix on /d in months.

last time when this was enforced heavily, everyone mixed on /d.
irony was an admin just warned some guy for mixing on /r and then everyone made fun of it on /d including that admin.

Admins are not by any means exluded from this rule. Next time please take a picture and report it to either K3lroy or Makke. If you think "what's the point?" Trust me, it helps. We're starting to improve for the better.

The point never was about admins being excluded..
It was another command which is also a radio. Trust me, I'll know how to report a staff member if I felt like the need as well.
