- There are several ways to make a skin mod.
- Using a 3D software like 3D max you could make a great skin mod according to your wish.
- But it is quite true that only few have good PC to do rendering and you need to have knowledge in order to do such a work
- There is another method which not so accurate but still worthy trying. It is using photoshop.
Creating a simple skin mod using Photoshop
Download the TXD workshop editor. A link to get it downloaded is provided below
https://www.gtainside.com/en/sanandreas ... /download/
Step 02
- Open TXD workshop
- Click 'Open IMG' in the top left corner
Step 03
- Select gta3.img from game folder.
Path ==> Rockstar Games > GTA San Andreas > models > gta3.img - You can find so many .txd and .dff files
- Open a .txd file that you wish to edit I will be using the SWMOTR5.txd which is a Hobo Skin
Step 04
- Select Export > TGA format
- Export the .tga file to a desired location
- Open the .tga file using photoshop
- Create a new psd file. I will be using 1024x1024px
- Select the .tga file and paste it in the newly created psd file.
- Stretch until you get it to the full file
Now you could edit the skin as you wish. Add anything which are not illegal and enjoy editing
Step 07
- Once you finish editing take the entire document and paste it in the previous .tga file again.
- Resize it to meet the actual size of the .tga file
NOTE : If you do not allign it properly to overlap the old tga image, your skin will get damaged in game. To avoid any distortions allign it properly
- Save the file as .png file
- Open TXD workshop again and in SWMOTR5.txd click Import > select the location of the .png file > Click OK
- Click save TXD
