In an official Faction, There are 4 Tiers. and specific rank structure for every faction.
Tier 0 - ( Maximum 2 Tier 0 members in an illegal faction, 4 Tier 0 members in a Legal Faction, They are Faction Leaders )

Tier 1 - ( Maximum 4 Tier 1 members in an illegal faction, 8 Tier 1 members in a Legal Faction )

COMMANDS
Commands for Civilians
/accept faction - If a faction member invites you to their faction. You can join their faction typing this command.
/factions - View the list of current official factions with their colour and number of faction members online.
Commands for Tier 3+ Faction Members
/f - To message in OOC faction chat
/fon - View the list of online members, their tier, payment and rank.
/foff - View the list of offline members, their tier, payment and rank.
/fcars - View the list of faction vehicles, location, locked / unlocked or occupied / unoccupied and vehicle IDs of the vehicles.
/faction, /finfo - Opens the menu of your Faction, includes - Information, Faction owned property, Members and settings.
/ftog - Disables OOC faction chat for yourself
/openhq - Opens the doors of your HQ. ( You need to be in-front of the door )
/closehq - Closes the doors of your HQ. ( You need to be in-front of the door )
/getfreq - Shows the radio frequency for your faction.
/getfreq [slot] - Automatically changes your frequency of the selected slot to the faction frequency ( You need to have a radio with you )
/car find - Locate a faction car
/fdeposit - Deposits money in to your faction bank. ( You need to be inside a bank )
/gate - Opens / Closes the gate of your HQ.
/fcol - Displays OOC faction chat in Blue / Yellow. Changes colour.
Commands for Tier 2+ Faction Members
/fcar tow - Tows all unoccupied faction vehicles
/fcar ua - Unlocks all faction vehicles
/invite - Invites a civilian to join a faction
/uninvite - Removes a member from the faction
/setfreq - Changes the faction frequency
/fauthority - View the list of authorities you have ( T2 / T0 only )
Commands for Tier 0 Faction Leaders
/setrank - Sets the rank of a faction member
/osetrank - Sets the rank of an offline faction member
/settier - Sets the tier of a faction member
/osettier - Sets the tier of an offline faction member
/ouninvite - Removes an offline member from the faction
/setpayment - Sets the faction payment of a member
/fstartrank - Sets the starting rank of the faction
/fstartpayment - Sets the starting payment of the faction
/car savemod - Saves the mods of a faction vehicle
/car unmod - Removes the installed mods of a faction vehicle
/car respray - Resprays the colour of a faction vehicle
/car park - Parks a faction vehicle
/fwithdraw - Withdraws money from the faction bank
/fnews - Add / Delete the faction laptop news
/fauthority [ID/Name] [Add/Remove] [Authority] - Gives / Removes an authority from a T2 faction member
/fmute - Mute a faction member from OOC faction chat
/fmotd - Edit message of the day ( Faction members can see it when they log in )
HOW TO JOIN A FACTION?
Joining a Legal Faction
Most of the legal factions are recruiting members via Applications. You can fill the applications and send them here in forum. If your application is good enough. One of Recruiters in a faction will prepare an interview for you IC in-game. You have to interface with the Recruiter. He will invite you to the faction if you're qualified.
The other way to join a factions is Live Recruitments, You have to prepare for an interview in the announced date & place of a Live Recruitment.
You can join Government by electing as the Mayor, Council Member or with the relationships between Government Staff.

Joining an Illegal Faction
To join an Illegal Faction, You need to be an outsider first. If you prove them that you're hardworking loyal member. They will invite you to their faction. or You can join an illegal faction without being an outsider if you have connection with high ranked members.
To become an outsider,
You can fill an application and send to their company - Los Santos Job Centre
( You need to be smart enough to find which faction is recruiting members )
Follow the given instructions and they will take you as an outsider if you're good enough. Now your task it to assist their work whenever they need you. Robberies, Runs etc. After working hard and proving you're trustworthy to be a part of their faction. They will invite you.
