Losing post count

I had 9998 posts yesterday, now somewhere on 8300. Was something on the forums archived? Is it due to the crash yesterday? What happened. I mean; we're talking well above 1000 posts dissappearing here. Is there an approx of from what period we're talking about? Was it recent or old posts basically.

A lot of archived posts (which you couldn't see anywhere anyways) were permanently deleted to clean up the database.
