Hey guys,

So I recently came across this problem where I've tried to open CS;GO, however, it just won't load. I've tried a couple of times;

- Tried to go on the bin file on CS:GO and delete d3d9.dll however it's not there, I can't seem to find it.
- Tried to delete some Sweet(or something like that) file from the CS:GO directory, however, it's not there. Once again, I can't seem to find it.
- Tried to change my resolution, it didn't help.
- Reinstalled the game, twice. Still nothing.
- Set launch options with my resolution, that doesn't work either.
- Tried to run it with compatibility mode as well as administrator, that didn't help it.

I pretty much googled everything and wanted to know if you guys came across this problem and how you fixed it.

I was able to run CS:GO perfectly however all of a sudden this problem occurred without me doing anything. My PC specs are good enough for CS:GO however that is not the issue.

This problem is known to exist for at least two years. And yea, I forgot to mention that. Restarting steam was one of the first things I did lol.

Any error, any black screen or something? Or nothing at all after you launch it?

If you don't mind, can you just give "launch options and commands" you set for CSGO.

In regards to the launch options commands, I do not have any.

Did you try "Verify integrity of game files" solution?

Install latest DirectX

or download d3d9.dll, try googling

Nope, still nothing.

Does it show d3d9.dll in that folder now?

I got it from a friend (that has it in his folder yet his CS works). I tried to run it but still nothing happened therefore I deleted it.

Ehh, if installing DirectX, copying that file and "Verifying integrity of game files" doesn't work ... ehhh. Dunno, but will research more to find solution.

Yea, that didn't fix it either. I tried that a couple of times. I recently watched a video where this guy deleted his whole CS:GO folder and then did the verifying integrity of game files, still had no luck.

I have no idea how to fix this, I pretty much tried everything I could find. Anyway, thanks for your help. I'll look for some more videos tomorrow. Hopefully someone knows how to fix it.

I just closed steam from task manager(end it process) and restart steam/pc

I used to do that and I was able to run CSGO once, right after the restart. Now it just simply won't start.

I had this problem, try to disable your anti virus for some reasons it worked for me

im sure you can make exceptions for programs in your antivirus, that is a way better solution than disable it (if you didn't do that)

If thats the case, go into your antivirus, add csgo.exe and steam to the allowed applications or whatever, then you should be able to re-enable your antivirus and still play.
