Shadowplay stops working after tabbing out followed by fps drop

After multiple times of tabbing out from the game & re-entering back, my shadowplay decides to stops working. The fps counter removes nor can I bring the menu back up again, status indicator is gone & followed by lag. Sometimes I could play for like two hours, have 90 fps smooth through the whole process, tab out and when I come back my shadowplay seems to not be there anymore and my game is running on like 12 fps.
Not sure why this is happening. Any ideas ?

1. Try Changing Resolution settings
2. do you have that color change prob when Gta SA starts?

Open task manager and close Shadow play? It might be running in the background.

Could be where you tab out, it tries capturing the source again, but no source is available.
Try going into the Geforce Experience, or wherever you can set your Shadowplay settings, turn it off there, turn it back on and enable desktop capture.

last time i heard that issue, the person had to change his whole pc

I have the same exact issues with my Nvidia shadowplay and after spending hours searching for a possible fix I simply gave up. I use Bandicam now with settings configured to run on my PC with ease and the result is amazing, no fps drops at all.

uninstall ur geforce experience
from add or remove
and install that
make sure you dont open geforce experience again after you set it up for the first time, the files, quality etc, otherwise it will auto-update to the new one

No, it's just in sa-mp. The laptop is also nearly new lol, dell 7577.

You can try these steps:
- Enter Programs from the Control Panel Remove everything related to NVIDIA. Remove ShadowPlay if it exists.
- Run Driver Sweeper, driver Sweeper will remove NVIDIA drivers.
- Download and install the latest drivers from NVIDIA site.
When you do all this, the problem will be solved. We must keep programs up to date and new at all times.

had issues with it as well a while back I ended up reinstalling my geforce experience and it got solved
