A question about gaming keyboards

Hello, I have very little knowledge of keyboards, so I'd like to ask a question.

I have an ASUS Cerberus MKll Gaming Keyboard and I haven't used it for fourteen months, and now that I've decided to use it again, I feel that it's kinda hard to press. It also has dirt inside ( I don't know how to clean my kb, but I've seen YT tutorials and they vary, but I think I know the gist of it )

So opinions, is the keyboard hard to press because of the time it wasn't used, or the dirt it accumulated inside? Srry, can't provide a pic, based on the unboxing reviews I've seen, it should be EASY to press but it's hard to, on my case.

since it's non-mechanical it's pretty tricky to clean it, but you could just tap the back of it while it's upside down and then run a vacuum cleaner over the keys

also depends on how much they keyboard was used before you let it sit for more than a year, probably just needs to work-in and the only way to use it is to type more

you can bend up keys if you are careful with a knife or something, i tried doing it on a logitech G15, worked, and the keyboard worked after putting them back to, but that's on your own risk ofc

I don't get any solutions that is viable for my issue, at least those can be done but I do not want to take the risk.
