[ANSWERED] Noob questing customizing car

Forgive my noobish question, how do I properly mod my car ? I drive into the shop, but if I hit enter to obtain a mod it teleports me out of the shop with no mods installed.
If I get it to work, do I use /savemod inside or outside the garage ?
Been away for a while so I need some help getting started again.

You need to /enter and then use left CTRL to select modifications you want to put. Once you're done, you use ENTER to exit menu and then /donemod to teleport outside. After that, you type /car savemod to save the modifications forever.

You can use "Space"/"CTRL" to select the mods you want. If you press "Enter" it goes back.

You can also use the following commands which allow you to mod your vehicle (to some extent) without going in a transfender.
/car respray [color 1] [color 2] - Change color of your vehicle.
/car painjob 0,1 or 2 - Put a paintjob on your vehicles if its applicable.
/car nitro - Location of nitro install garage.
/car hydraulics - Hydraulics install garage.
/car wheels - Wheels install garage.
