You can do trucking, it can make you good money.
After you got good amount of money, you can resell cars.

You can as well work as an Outsider for any mafia in the game and you shall figure out what it has to bring you ; )

There are many places you can go to and earn money since u are a new player u have to be an outsider of a faction and lead and load for them and they will pay you some money for it and u have to gain experience and RP skills to join a faction on level 5 you can buy a weapon license and help as an outsider with it but you would have to wait some time to join the faction and be helpful when you have enough money you can invest in state lot and if you are lucky you can win some money from it and there is a casino where you can go for blackjack numbers etc currently there is a Christmas event going on /giftbox in-game and hunt candies I would prefer 420 candies box this event help new players and poor players in this server and it's gonna be over soon on 1st January anyways have fun staying I hope you enjoy

You can also join legals (SASF/PD) and get an hourly paycheck of above $150,000 every paytime.

Only this or loading metal/lead for factions. Everything else pure bs. By trucking you can earn up to 200k per hour and it will go away in less than 10 mins.

Casino but you need to start with something.
For now you have the giftboxes of xmas which you can gain alot at the last days.
You can truck untill level 6 and then join any faction legal/illegal.
