My ping or Packet Loss is high - I'm experiencing other communication/internet issues!

If you are having difficulties with your Ping or PL, or if you're getting kicked with the so called 3/3 warning from in game, this is some basic things to do, and if said basic things don't work, what to do next.

Game Accelerator

First of all, if you have any sort of Ping/PL issue, try swapping out the game accelerator options found in settings > game > game accelerator. It is set to automatic by default, but that can sometimes make wrong assumptions, so try changing to the ones with the smallest ping, see if that fixes the issue for you.

Your internet

If the game accelerator doesn't work, the next step is to figure out if it's your own internet OR router causing issues. You'd do this by connecting to a different connection (preferably a pretty solid one) or a mobile hotspot, and checking if it works on there. If yes, your original internet connection may have issues. In that case restart your router, check all your internet cables, test your internet on different services, or call your ISP support to ask about possible issues.

Windows & its Antivirus

Windows being windows, Defender (or any other antivirus program) can mess with how the IM:RP launcher works, and how it communicates with the server.
Follow this guide: viewtopic.php?t=205370 to add the launcher to exceptions properly

When facing network issues, we suggest to give us the following:

- Download WinMTR: https://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/
- Install, and open two instances of it up, point one to 8.8.8.8, and the second one to server.sa-mp.im, let both run for 5 to 10 minutes minimum. Enlarge the window slightly, and take a screenshot of them, and include them in your ticket, it'll help the staff team understand the issue better.
