New games are coming out so I need to do some upgrades to my PC, here are my specs:

Code: Select all

Processor: Intel Pentium CPU G630 @ 2.70 GHz 3.10 GHz (dont understand it, dont ask me)
RAM: 4 GB (Windows 7, 64 bit)
Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 610

Ow and just checked at the Processor tab and it has two
Intel Pentium CPU G630 @ 2.70 GHz
So what do I need to buy to run some better games ( RAM, new graphic card, etc)?

I've recently bought this setup:
Intel i5 4670K cooled by a H100i, soon to be overclocked.
MSI GTX 770 TwinFrozr IV
8 GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz
Maximus VI Gene
Corsair 600CX-M
And I'm absolutely loving it. You really need to upgrade everything to run new games, I highly recommend a GTX 770 and a Haswell processor.

If you're short on cash go for the AMD race, it's more bang for the buck and it has it's advantages.

No, 770, it's an overclocked version of the 680 and performs better, for just a couple of bucks more.

Go for Intel Core i5-processors if you want to run games like GTA SA.
I also prefer i7, but its up to you.

For the GPUs go for GeForce GTX 770 and look for 4GB vRAM or 2GB ++.
RAM you'll need more than 8 GB.

MY SPECS:

CPU: Intel Core i7 3770
GPU: GeForce GTX 660Ti 2GB (graphics clockspeed in boost is 1084 MHz and 1006 MHz in base)
RAM: DDR3 16GB

He doesn't need more than 2GB VRAM if he's playing on 1920x1080 resulotions, which I even doubt he does.

And, he doesn't necessarily need an i5 nor i7 to run a specific game, he can still run a specific game with almost the same FPS with either an AMD or an Intel processor. Some games and applications work better with different platforms, that's fact.

If you are looking for a gaming PC go for i5, don't fall on those shitty i7 with 2Ghz, Get a 3.5ghz i5, overclock to 4ghz, get a 2gb graphics card 6gb ram 1tb hard drive 600W power station and u are done

If you are buying it only for gaming, then I think these are the perfect specs :

Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad/Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme @ 3.50 GHz
RAM: 8 GB (use dual rams) (Windows 7, 32 bit)
Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 [I know that many new ones are out but this will perfectly run any game that currently exist and any game that will come out in the next 5 years(from the original production date).]
HDD : 500GB

If your motherboard supports it and you have enough good power supply 750W+ yes you can.

What's your budget? It'd be easier to help you performance wise.

Quick note for gaming computers:
If you have a bit to spend these are some of the parts you should be looking into.

Ram - 8GB of ram will be enough on most gaming computers, stick to Corsair and Ripjaws X for high quality. (1600MHz)
GPU - AMD Radeon graphics cards are decent, but for the max performance i'd go with an GTX 780 superclocked, it's one of the newest releases and runs games like Battlefield 3 on 100+ Frames.
CPU - Again, AMD's processors are decent and work for gaming, but for long lasting high performance, Intel is good. I-5 and I-7 have little to no effect in the games these days (1-3 FPS) I-7 is just more suitable for softwares like Cs4 and Adobe.

If you could give a price range it would be much easier to recommend certain builds.

You know that the prices in America and in macedoniaa are different, so I'm asking what is the first thing I should buy :D got like 200$

I don't think you'll get a good setup for 200$ - you need to update a few things in order to run the latest games in a fair performance. I recently upgraded my CPU, which meant I had to upgrade my motherboard aswell, since my old motherboard didn't support the socket that the CPU I wished to get had. So, before you buy a CPU; make sure it runs on same socket as your motherboard - else you're fucked.

You should just save up and build a whole new computer from scratch. From there on you could upgrade your GPU, CPU, or RAM anytime you'd like or if they become obsolete.

Go for Intel processors, they are the best and Iwould not suggest you to buy alienware.. waste of money.
So much other choices around the Internet. I know a page (nOrwegian) but you can easily translate it with Google Translate
