First you should take a look at what roleplay is about, including the rules, and perhaps read a guide (http://www.forum.sa-mp.im/viewforum.php?f=12). Alternatively you can contact a helper (or anyone that wishes to help) In Game, and I'm sure you'll be given a few tips or even a full lesson.

Roleplay isn't something you learn overnight, you learn every day, but most of all, it requires imagination.

As Oak stated above you should first of all take a look at all the rules clearly and keep reading them untill you understand them clearly. You don't want to make mistakes and find yourself punished the first day. Once you've read all the rules you would be understanding the server a bit more you could aswell read some guides which explains the server and that all.

Now regarding '' roleplay''. It's hard to understand it if it's your first time you will get it in time. You have to use your imaginiaton has Oak said already, you have to act like you would do in your real life. You do what ever you would do in your life if you want to join a faction you should try to find a way to contact the members of the faction and start roleplaying with them.
