The famous "I have been hacked" claims

Hello,

as of today, we will no longer handle support tickets which include "my account has been hacked".

If your "account has been hacked", it has not been hacked.
Below is a list of which probably 1 of your issue is involved with:
  • You used the same password on another server.
  • You use an un-safe password and someone figured it out. (e.g. 123456, ...)
  • You shared your password and/or account with a friend/family member.
  • You gave your password to someone. (Whether it be someone impersonating an admin, ...)
  • You have a trojan/RAT/keylogger on your PC allowing someone to steal your password.
Admins will never ask for your password.

If you can no longer login into your account, use the "forgot password" feature. If you cannot recover your account using this feature, your account has mostlikely been hijacked due to one of the reasons stated above. If that is the case, we will NOT be able to give you back access to your account nor will we refund any kind of stats to you.

We do this for the simple fact that 90% of the "my account has been hacked" claims are simply players which shared their password with a friend and/or family member. That friend and/or family member then decides to steal all their money and change the password. This is entirely your (the original account owner's) fault. You will not be refunded anything.

You are warmly welcome to create a new account and start from the beginning. Then you'll probably have learned not to share accounts and be more careful.

Don't forget to keep your passwords safe, change it regularly (/changepass) and do not use the same password on other servers. Do not use the same password on the forum and on the server. Do not ever share your password and/or account with anyone.

Yeah, hass /changepass been fixed yet? as in can you have normal characters in it other than digits? I remember you could register without fully digits either but /changepass wouldn't let you.

The limitation that you may only use numbers has been removed a very long time ago. You can use any character in your password.

Is using the same password on another server reflects something? or do you mean a manager of a different server could have known my password by doing that and then log into my IM account?

Communities who copied our script are more likely to go through your passwords and use your accounts.
It's happened before. :)
I was a victim of such incident once, when our script was first leaked. Obviously changed password several times since then.

The other reasons for "my account is hacked" could be.

- You have been infected with KeyLogger/Rat or any such software. This is the ussual tactic for stealing an account.Someone sends you an crypted virus from an link or via skype etc.. wich gives access the hacker to your computer, your passwords etc..

Soo do not open suspecius files aswell, since im introduced with all such software.

And when this happends, the people who dont understand this stuff, they blame woot for non security.
