Using ":D" "lol" in SMS

Is this allowed or is it considered as mixing cuz if you use ":(" "ROFL" in SMS's IC?

People use these in real life and the admins do not class it as mixing for obvious reasons.

Because in a real advertisement you wouldn't hear the people on your TV or radio saying "x is selling a house, smiley face."
Or in a newspaper, you wouldn't see "Buying a car, I only have a low budget though lol"
