Grind the trucker job
You could lend money from friends or Joshua Capetta's Loan Company if that's available yet
Donate is always an option if you want to waste irl cash for virtual money
You can go to the casino but you have a risk of losing your money instead of gaining

Also, if you really want to go to desperate measures, you can always offer your body for some cash IC. Bare in mind, when most people have sexual relations on this server, they've probably got their hand on their knob - jerking it off while you perform these actions.

OT:

Start of by building up money with regular jobs you can get at the city hall. Best earned job is being a trucker or a Farmer, wich pays up more then 100k p/h atleast, if you keep doing it.
Once you reach a bit of money a good option is to start dealing in vehicles/properties


I highly recommend you NOT to go to the casino, Casino's are made to lose money.

Another good way is joining legal factions.
Los Santos PD is paying up to 20.000 dollars an hour as faction payment, same for San andreas Special Forces if I am not mistaking. (not sure how it goes in SAN/LSFD)

One thing you should not do when you are dealing, Rushing to buy somethings. That will make you lose money as people will also try to sell it for a highprice (yes, happend alot to me in houses/businesses)

Donating is also nice, you get well paid for the money you invest in the game, your money will be a big part of keeping the server alive.

Politics is allowed. Although there is probably only a few people who has sufficient knowledge that in area of interest. So, debates and such might be a bit boring. You may also set-up your own party in-game if you're willing to put dedication - be aware though-.. there used to be a government faction but as people got bored of it to easily and give up the leadership, the management say that government will never be opened again.


However, you can always prove them wrong with your project if you start one, maybe they might give you a shot after a while. Anyways, back to it - politics is certainty allowed.

Go to Los Santos Job Center and look for some works there, and look at the payment.

You can also donate to the server to get some cash.

You can get work, go to /gps > City hall, and get a legal job, the best/most used jobs are Trucker and Farmer. I'd advice you of Farmer, you get 4-6k per one run, and it's somehow fast. You don't really need to know the ways/drive a lot. But, that's your call.
You can join a faction also, you can get legal one, or illegal one. As your new, I'd advice you of legal, as you don't know much about runs.
You can visit the police department's website to join the LSPD
Or visit this link, which is SASF section. So you can try to join SASF. But I advice you of LSPD.
You can also join SAN News if you're into writing.
There's also Los Santos Fire Department, but it's somehow ' dead. '

You can also donate which will give you a lot of money, a lot of good things, and will help our dear owner in running this server.

Well, there is a couple of jobs in the city hall /helpme >City hall there is a job "Trucker" if you take the long trip you can earn up to 29k per hour, you can also do some burrito runs or sultan runs, they gives also some good moneys if you do it enough times.
