well, a lot of us don't know how to mod their game but don't know how, so I thought of making the ultimate guide on how to mod your game.
the first thing you have to do is to download and install modloader to your game, modloader allows you to have any kind of skins without messing with your gta3.img, which if you messed with it, it will affect your entire game behaving badly.
you go ahead and download it from here that's version v0.3.7 which is the latest at the date of making this guide, once you have downloaded it extract all the archive content to a file, and that's what you will get;
then next thing you need to do is to copy the folder named "modloader" and the file named "modloader.asi" to your GTA SA directory folder like this;
then the last thing to do is to create folders inside the "modloader" folder and name it as the following;
"Weapons"
"Skins"
"Vehicles"
"Sounds"
"Radar"
"Misc"
"Roads"
and it should look something like this;
and that's it you have installed modloader, all you need to do now is to browse for skins at any website of those
or you can even go to our IMRP gta modification section to download some cool mods that players use
for EX; I have downloaded a desert eagle mod that's what I will get;
two files with different extensions .txd and .dff
all you need to do is to copy those to files to our "modloader" folder and inside our subfolder "weapons" and it should work just fine.
now for the next thing on our list, I give you the txd workshop, now TXD workshop's role is to edit the .txd files in your GTA, the ones in models, which responsible for the fonts and the hud like the radar compass the crosshair etc,
to download TXD workshop you need to go here that's version 5.3 (2018) which is the latest until the time of making this guide.
after you download it you will end up with an archive, extract all it's contents to a folder and you will get something similar to this;
go ahead and run it and let's suppose you want to install a new crosshair, the first thing you need to do is to make a backup of your hud.txd file, next you need to press open txd and select hud.txd and that's what you will get
now browse and search for "Site_M16_2" and just take your crosshair and drag it to there then press save txd
that's it you have your new crosshair!
and now for Cleo and it's used to install mods like the emergency light mod.
now you have to go here to download Cleo, and to install it all you have to do is run it and select your game directory as the following;
and if everything goes as expected you will end up with a folder named "Cleo" in your GTA main Directory;
and that's it you just download whatever Cleo mod you want and copy the .cs file into the Cleo folder and it should work just fine.
Install the Blood Effects MOD
Spoiler
I was asked about how to install it so I included it in my guide;
Now in order to do that you need to download it from here
select "download the zip-file without installer" and proceed,
after it's downloaded you will end up with a 5 MB archive, kindly extract that,
and before you install it or make any changes to the game I need you to go to your GTA's directory as the following;
C:\GTA SA\Models
and I need you to copy and make a backup of these three files
effects.fxp
effectsPC.txd
particle.txd
after you make a backup of those three files, go ahead and replace the original ones with the ones from the mod file
and here you go you have a functioning blood effect mod.
I feel obligated to share the server's policy about mods after making this guide which states the following;
that was it if there is anything you need help with regarding mods feel free to forum pm me or contact me on discord, IRC.
