Dude use your common sense !! being a helper isn't just a tag
I, myself in real life adore helping people, watching them succeed in whatever they thought they couldn't. It's just in my nature to plant tiny seeds in one's thoughts just to watch them filled with hope, being successful and eventually happy.
That being said, after a couple of month within SASF and "maturing" up within the server through people helping me and pointing out what I was doing wrong, I realized that a helper team existed. I started helping my own members (sasf) just to teach myself new methods of reaching out. Once I've developed that, I applied everything on myself, started working. Reading through the newbies guides just to see which I had trouble with and if they were there or not. I used to go out irl with zohar, sean, anthony, nicholai and you'd see me writing notes down on my phone on a guide I was currently doing, this can all be confirmed.
It's not the tag that makes you want to be a helper, or the list on /admins. It's the sole reason of helping, putting forward the knowledge you have and lending a helping hand. Being treated like shit is mostly ignored or not faced up until it starts getting to you. Just because you're a helper, people expect a different opinion from you, let's call it "A-opinion". If you happen to give out your opinion of what YOU actually think they'll start bullshitting you with "you're a helper hahaha" - Call it "B-Opinion". You're either a robot, following everything like a mindless slave, or develop to be the very best, still either or shit will be thrown at you, without you even noticing at times. My first few weeks of being in OOC mode, nerding at unity, Nico came up to me and said the following
"hahah, ton viegel wants to be a helper"
"You'll never make it, don't you think I know how you got your 1bill?" [Just an accusation which is not true.]
"You stole it from XXX_XXX"
Which is my first encounter of someone hating me completely without even getting to know me, and that is the main problem. People expect people to do something to prove themselves to one another, if that mentality was to be recreated and formed in a way of destroying the wall between PLAYERS|HELPERS|ADMINS it would much much greater, but that develops another problem, a problem which haunts 3/4 of the admins currently here. The fear of losing friends just because you had to punish them, that's one of the main reasons why this wall can't be brought down. A dozen of people talk to admins/helpers just so that they can get "privileges" when breaking a rule. I assure you, admins don't treat helpers like shit (except for the first 2 months where they call you an amateur for the lolz) you can't say "Admins" treat "helpers" like shit. There are specific people who treat other specific people like shit, you can't gather everyone up in 1 bowl, but eventually nothing can change if you don't change yourself to change others.
