Blackjack and roulette rules

May 28th, 2012, 3:44 pm

Blackjack

The main goal for the player and dealer is to get closest to the number 21 as possible. If either the player or dealer hits above 21, (s)he will bust and the opposite part will win.

After a player has placed a bet, he will receive two cards, from 1-11. After (s)he received his cards, he may either hit (one more card), stand (dealers turn) or double (get one card, doubling up his first bet - e.g. 250k -> 500k). A player may hit as many times as possible, and the dealer MUST stand at 17 or above, and MUST hit at 16 or under.

Split cards
If a player gets e.g. two Aces, he may split them, which means that (s)he will have to play two hands where there's an Ace included in both of them. First (s)he plays the first ace and after standing on it or hitting over, he will play the other ace - exactly like explained above, just with an Ace on both hands.

Ace in the hand of a dealer
An ace in the hand of a dealer will always count as 11, unless the dealer would go above 21, then it would count as 1.
Example:
Dealer hits A5 which equals 16 in terms of Blackjack. The player would in this case be able to choose between 6 or 16, but the dealer is forced to choose 11 if possible. If the dealer then hits an Ace again, it would be counted as 1, since 11 would make him hit over on 16 (27).

IF a player gets A5 being dealed with, its 6 or 16. the player then can hit no matter what the card shows (if the card is 9 he will then have 15) --> to avoid confusion since this was not written anywhere

Blackjack
If the dealer doesn't have a natural, he hits (takes more cards) or stands depending on the value of the hand. Contrary to the player, though, the dealer's action is completely dictated by the rules. The dealer must hit if the value of the hand is lower than 17, otherwise the dealer will stand.

If the dealer has a natural 21 (blackjack) with his two cards, he won't take any more cards. All players lose, except players who also have a blackjack, in which case it is a push - the dealer re-deals the cards (dealing firstly for the player)

The dealer not hitting 21 on his first two cards have to deal untill he has 17 or when he's above 21 (busted)

Roulette

This is simply a game with alot of numbers and colors. Here's a list over what you can place a bet on, and what you will get in return in case of a winning.
  • 1-18 (2x back)
  • 19-36 (2x back)
  • Red (2x back)
  • Black (2x back)
  • Odd numbers (2x back)
  • Even numbers (2x back)
  • A number from 0 to 36 (36x back)
  • 1st 12, 1-12 (3x back)
  • 2nd 12, 13-24 (3x back)
  • 3rd 12, 25-36 (3x back)
  • 2-1 lines, there's 3 different lines. (3x back)

Here's a screenshot of a Roulette table for a better overview:

In case of tie a whole new hand will be played - both for the house and player(s). If a player gets 21 on his first hand (first two cards (ace+10)), he will win automatically.

Like you can see on the screen shot there are 3 " 2-1" lines under the numbers.
If you get on like 2-1Line 1 and the number falls on 10 it means you win and get 3x the amount you bet back.

@zaider
You made one little mistake yoy saied:
1-18 (2x back)
1-19 (2x back)

But it has to be
1-18 (2x back)
19-36 (2x back)

indeed, if you would bet 1 dollar on a number from 0 to 36 like 4 and it lands on 4 ( the color doesnt matter ) you would get your bet x36 in this way you would receive 36 ( 1*36 )

That's like breaking the rules. You can report them for not following standard procedure.

Re: Blackjack and roulette rules

There is one important rule in blackjack that is missing here. When the player wins with a "Blackjack" (this means Ace and 10 in first two cards) instead of receiving 2x he only receives 1.5x . This is a basic rule of blackjack that you find in ANY casino IRL and you also find in the offline GTA's blackjack.

Here is an explanation of the following site http://www.blackjackinfo.com/blackjack-rules.php
A blackjack, or natural, is a total of 21 in your first two cards. A blackjack is therefore an Ace and any ten-valued card, with the additional requirement that these be your first two cards. If you split a pair of Aces for example, and then draw a ten-valued card on one of the Aces, this is not a blackjack, but rather a total of 21. The distinction is important, because a winning blackjack pays the player odds of 3 to 2. A bet of $10 wins $15 if the player makes a blackjack. A player blackjack beats any dealer total other than blackjack, including a dealer's three or more card 21. If both a player and the dealer have blackjack, the hand is a tie or push.
I am posting this here because this hapenned me now while hosting in casino and Admin Connan decided against me. In this sense.... I think you should fix these rules.

When i player gets an Ace is he forced to pick 11 or 1?

for example, Player gets 7-A this would be 18 or 8 when he wants to hit another card the player has to choose either 18, hit. or 8, hit. Thats how i learned to play blackjack. But when i try to tell people ingame they don't understand. What is the rule on italy mafia for this situation?
