Afaik that upset folder means there's either a problem with an add-on or it's missing, while browsing Youtube it would probably be a problem with your flash player, it's either outdated or simply broken.
But usually refreshing the web clears the page. - If you're sick of that happening just change a browser like stated above.

Flash Player has nothing to do with running the website - It shows up when you are about to run the video and not the website.

Youtube has advertisement made of videos which are automatically played for you, not only that also non moving images would require an add-on to be displayed. In addition, the browser would tell you something went wrong if the flash player has any issues displaying the video.
