Server move

Hello,

within the next few days we're going to move the server in order to increase network capability & hopefully solve most of the connection issues there have always been lately (major lag spikes, random timeouts, packet loss..). After various ping tests from staff members most of them had a ping decrease of about 10-30%. We will also have a 1Gbit/s Port dedicated to the SA:MP server, making it quite resistable from (D)DoS attacks - even upgradable to up to 10Gbit/s if it shouldn't withstand.

The server is currently located in Frankfurt, Germany and will be moved to Databarn, Netherlands. The new IP address is going to be 109.201.134.234:7777 - server.sa-mp.im will point to the new IP address once the server has been moved.

And for the nerds out here;
Chassis: HP DL120 G7,
Processor: Intel E3-1240 (4 x 3.3GHz (+HT)),
Memory: 8 GB (2x4GB),
Harddisk: 2 x 120 GB AGT OCZ SSD (RAID 1),
Uplink: 1x 1 Gbit (Non-shared / Dedicated)

The website, forum and sa:mp server will be offline while moving. The downtime should last no longer than 90 minutes.
The IRC server has already been moved to the new machine.

Everything will be moved estimatedly on Saturday, 12th January at 10:00am. You should be able to play again at 11:30am. Please note that this date is just an estimation and may be delayed.

You will also receive an e-mail once the server has been moved.

Feel free to post your ping to the current, and to the new server. (Start -> Run -> cmd.exe -> ping de.sa-mp.im / ping nl.sa-mp.im)
