Loosing connection to router randomly.

Hey,

I wanted to ask if anyone knows a way to solve this issue. I have a my computer upstairs about 7/8 metre's away from my router. It randomly loses connection. It's so annoying playing GTA then loosing connection. If no one knows a solution, i'll have to buy a new network adapter.

Internet ditched out multiple times in a row earlier.
Sure it's not just Sky and their temporarily dodgy service?
(Internet went bad for no reason, wasn't even playing any games, if I remember right)

Not affected in my area, I believe it's something to do with my WiFi settings.

Try changing preamble settings, it caused major issues for me.

I had same problems today. I'm 3/4 meters away from the router. I don't think that it's not a problem of WIFI cause i can surf in the web eaisly but i just loose connexion to the server.

Mine just drops all the time. I've changed my wireless channels.

if theres many of the same router in the same neighorhood, i believe they can then make problem for each others. thats what most likely happened to mine. fix now tho - modem with wifi now.

I`ll suggest a lined connection, I have the same problem when running on the laptop by WiFi but my computer which is connected by line never has this problem.
Try locking the wireless connection with a password to prevent overload.

I've got it working now. Some reason why it always changes signal from 1-5. I'll just buy a new adapter.
