When i see everything woot has done this month (including the server move and more) + his activity, i can't really see the point of calling woot "lazy".

The 10 minute limit is there to prevent cheaters from using some kind hacks to find the objects easily. Even if they do find it, they need to wait 10 minutes until they can open it.

There's currently between 2-4 giftboxes opened per minute, so many people are actually hunting them. It is indeed mostly money, but a lot of name/numberchanges and slots have been won too.

If more money was won in these, you'll complain about the economy being ruined even more in 1 month.
There's currently ~$20m per hour being pumped into the server just because of the giftboxes (including name-, numberchange, slot, .. prices)

Placing them back at just one place will just make it worse, since many more people will be able to open them at the same time.
