Re: Laptop not booting up

Basically, computers need power and data to boot up, you're saying the keyboard lits up..so it's not a power issue, it's a data issue. And according to my very little experience within the pcs world, it can be caused by the dislocation of a ram, processor issue, or a hardware badsector in the hard drive (most common issues). Make sure the rams are properly placed in their slots, if they are, you must have the laptop checked by a professional :/

EDIT: Can you remember if your laptop was bumped while running during the past few days or not? And, btw..does it make any sounds?

Press your Power Button key for 40 seconds so the power can exit out, after that remove the battery and plug your charger in, try start it then

If the screen is down, he should hear the windows boot up sound, it must be a ram/hdd/processor issue I am afraid

Possible solution: Open the ram bay..remove the rams, clean it and put it back in (if you are not familiar enough with such stuff, don't do it!), if the problem is still not solved..it must be the processor or the hdd

Check my last reply, also...check your laptop's brand website FAQ, it might be a common issue that happens with that model

If lights(battery, power lights) turn on for a second when you press the power button, just press fn and f12, screen should turn on and booting should continue as it is probably stuck somehow.
This worked on Acer tho

It's not hard to take battery off. There's one cable attached to it. Taking it out and holding the power button should help. Its harder to remove screws than to take out battery ;D

11 screws in total, removed 10 of them then i realized theres another under a sticky design. I think that is to ensure nobody opens it, if i open the warranty will probably get fucked. I have on site warranty, gonna make them bitches come to my place and fix it for me.
Yes do not fuck up with the body..even if the warranty is over..just, don't, you can fuck your laptop up with static electricity, happened with me before while cleaning my PC xD...however, according to your description, it can't be but a ram/hdd/cpu problem...sorry mate, nothing can't help you with that

Instead of trying to be an IT engineer just head to the nearest computer store or whatever it's called and let them check it for you in before you fuck something else with the awful feedback you got here which none gonna work for you.
