Clicking on icon/program

I know it's related to IT but I guess someone has knowledge about this problem.


I simply cannot click on a icon, it opens and disappears quickly. Games don't work as well, I start samp but when I'm IG the pause menu(ESC) just opens and disappears, cannot even play nor click anything on desktop.

Probably an backdoor; trojan Virus; doesn't allow you to click anywhere try to press CTRL key on your keyboard. Before you click somewhere like,
CTRL + CLICK than see if you can reach to the folders or w/e if yes than it's probably an backdoor; trojan virus, also it may happen of your Hard Disk probably your HD is damaged or something wrong with it; give me feedback for further help.

Yes, I can click with the method you told me.

Download or Buy TrojanKiller; and try to delete any trojan virus found; actually you have to buy it but still you can search on warez website; i mean buying is always better but still your choise; so if there is no viruses found ; than the problem is just with your Hard Disk; don't even try to format your PC cause you will 100% fail even if you are pro on formating your PC.

Despite not being an antivirus, I recommend CCleaner, it is capable of deleting infected programs, and I actually do rely more in it than an anti virus

Currently I'm scanning my windows with the trojan remover, I'll inform you with the results.


EDIT: It told me it has found no viruses, but still I can't click anything, it might be the lack of effect of the trojan remover though.

Windows 7.

Go To http://www.dougknox.com
In the left hand column, click WinXP fixes
Then in the list that comes up, click File Association fixes
Then in the next list that appears, click EXE File Association Fix

I know it's for WinXP but they have the same support on their system so it may probably help.

It shows me an error; 'not all data was successfully written into the registry. Some keys are open by the system or other processes.
