About forums warning system?

A question I always wanted to ask:

How does the forums warning system go? I mean, what is the maximum warnings that when you read, you get Temp or perm. banned?

The warning levels in this thread is completely outdated, and it's related with the old forums: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=17

Warnings work differently. One warning is just a note in your profile, that all admins/moderators can see. It's not like the old system where you had a percentage. Admins can decide whether to ban the user or not, the forum does not ban based on warnings.

It's not me to decide it. But I want the "old system" back...

I am not sure if we can just do that, since the previous forum was using other forum software.
