help with finding cars?

Someone gave me their car, they handed me the keys but how do I find the car? I've read the commands for cars but Idon't understand can you type the command in as if you were playing?
And once I find it do i just type /unlock to get in?

Well,if he gave you the keys,he gave you dupe keys,the guy who has the dupe keys can do : /car , /car lock , /engine.

You cant trace the car,only if you owning it.

The person just gave the keys to me without selling and when i use /car unlock it says"you do not own the vehicle or have the dupekeys"

You cannot tow or find a car that you don't own. Having the dupekeys of the car makes you /car lock it only. Nothing more.
Use /car help for more informations.

Well..If the owner of that car isn't online it won't spawn the car.

If he gave you dupe keys, vehicle owner has to be online so the vehicle spawns.
If car is owned by you, you don't know the location /myvehicles - /car find [vehicle ID]
If it says its inside garage or it can't be found for some random reasons, contact any admin in game with command /irc or /ask
To unlock and lock player owned vehicle use /car lock (locks and unlocks)
