I hope this guide helped you in some ways. If you have questions, don't be afraid to ask them.
Won't happen, it has been tried many times over the WHOLE IM histroy, Only worked slightly back in Old'e daysDonCorleone wrote:I always said, when i was low level too, remove the Faction aplication, that suck's and its stupid.

And its time for t0's to form "The Comission" and every single month(lets say) anounce "Capo di tutti Capi" betwen Mafia's. Capo di tutti Capi ned to be respected in any ways, even if two or more Familie's are in conflict.
It's not hard to pull off with enough dedication, I will take it to consitheration since I am open minded to working closer with our alliances.Ehruhgahn wrote:Won't happen, it has been tried many times over the WHOLE IM histroy, Only worked slightly back in Old'e daysDonCorleone wrote:I always said, when i was low level too, remove the Faction aplication, that suck's and its stupid.

That's why we as leaders have responsibility to change this.Johnny wrote:What you`re trying to say here might be great as roleplay, yet the incapability and laziness of the majority simply deletes the 'right' methods to join as they take a big part of the community. 'I might as well just join another faction if this particular one invites after a fifteen minutes interview at their place of work!'. Quite frankly, people got so lazy they don`t even apply on the forums.
The responsibility firstly requires the agreement of all faction leaders to recruit only by full RP, which will lead to instructing the co-leaders to do the same, not exceptions. I`ve tried, believe me, to create a full RP faction, with all the right tools and methods, yet even attempting to do so, will lead to an inactive faction, as players in IM simply prefer easier ways.Kjetil wrote:We tried to form a commission the first time I was acting don, but as soon as I lost that position I couldn't be arsed to take responsibility for it anymore.
And it's nice to read such a story, Orka. It's rare, but I hope more tier one and zeros start recruiting the same way. If you see some newbie getting DMed you could try help him out recruiting him that way.

Recruiting from forum should be completely banished.
If a faction leader official/unofficial even has slight respect to his faction and standards he won't do it.
It can be made like you said if all faction dons agrees so players find that the hard way is the only way.Johnny wrote:The responsibility firstly requires the agreement of all faction leaders to recruit only by full RP, which will lead to instructing the co-leaders to do the same, not exceptions. I say again, my doubt will soon reach a hundred percent that this will ever change, quite the opposite, I tend to think it`ll just go worse. - Hence I get more and more PMs of : 'Pls invite me I`m lvl 14 I know good rp!!'

I know, just Leone or Paterno would do such a thing.frankvg wrote:Alot of people don't seem to understand ANYTHING AT ALL from a Family., they just go and make ads ''PatLeone Family hiring new members - Call now''!

Well - one must start by inspiring others as I belive. If you are seen doing something and others look up to you for doing it, others will catch on the same train wanting to be as superiour as the rest if not even more. Though yes I'm aware that a faction only built up with roleplay is dead within a short period of time - hence why you need to keep entertaining people to a certain level. You Leone got your fucking Aniello which keep showing up on a bike everywhere for example - which by the way makes me shit my pants each time.Johnny wrote:The responsibility firstly requires the agreement of all faction leaders to recruit only by full RP, which will lead to instructing the co-leaders to do the same, not exceptions. And that is my biggest mistake on IM ever (except joining Paterno under Ivan's regime in 2007). It was also one of the reasons I decided to try something more realistic, as that way only caused a massive noob era.T-Bag wrote:That, or just "The corleone family bussiness is looking for workers, call for more information."

Exactly. It's a fact that everyone wish to be the cool guy in class. That's why they try to be like him, talk like him, look like him. It's all about being the alpha male. We, the leaders, are the alpha males. We're the one the others look up to. If we say "Hey, you will never be able to join us those idiotic ways" they will listen. But if some wise guy t0/1 says "Don't bother him, I'll invite you" it won't work anymore. We should all agree to follow more strict rules and standards. It may not be easy, but then again cancer isn't easy to cure.OrkaHaris wrote:Well - one must start by inspiring others as I belive. But then again cancer isn`t easy to cure it just the right way to describe this situation, I`m positive that even a overall leaders agreement wouldn`t have this applied. All I can say is that yall expectations are too high for this community.Kjetil wrote:And that is my biggest mistake on IM ever (except joining Paterno under Ivan's regime in 2007). I don't invite when asked upon. I tell them to fuck off regardless if their mates or not. (apart from tbag)Johnny wrote:Factions who care then will have no members, which will cause them to be careless as well. Sorry for being argumentative, but I`m referring to realism here.
Why do you use Dutch proverbs? Those are made for Dutch people, foreign people won't get it.frankvg wrote:Just like a known saying from Holland : Als er 1 schaap over de dam is, volgen er meer.
Translation : If one sheep is over the dam, more will follow.
It's like using English or Nigerian - translated to English - proverbs. We don't get them.frankvg wrote:They will, really, they are not dumb.
