Roleplaying IC for joining Factions.[ANSWERED]

Hello folks.
I am having some trouble trying to join factions.I would like to request some help.
Lately,I tried roleplaying with different people from different factions to get a position in the faction somehow.
They came up with the excuse "Unemployed".They don't seem to comply.How can we even expect to join any faction if they don't want to comply?. I mean as far as I've seen only "Friends" get to join factions.I mean seriously what's the deal? I'm confused.Help me out here.Give me some tips on what kind of roleplay scenes should I make up to convince them to take me into the faction.In the old days,factions used to have a franchise through which they used to recruit members.Nowadays,it doesn't even exist.Alright I agree even if you don't wanna recruit through franchises..what's the harm in complying with people who wants to Roleplay with them to get a job.I really don't understand.
Please help me out here.

There's many ways to join a faction, you just need your contacts. Try to become a taxi-driver or whatever and just go on-duty, tell the passengers your name and ask them for theirs and try to get connections. Just be nice & friendly and you'll get into one easily.
You could also try to avoid getting into problems with faction-members, stay away from their gunfights and don't put yourself into any argument. It's really easy but you'll need to have patience.

This ^^ and try to hang out at places they usually go(your preffered faction etc) or simply go at the ship, check if they do some runs at the ship, offer them some help and you'll get in touch with them. After that, everything is easy :p

Most factions you just have to find them IC first. You've got to make the right approach if you want to get on their good side by doing things like creating roleplay, following rules and helping out a bit. Get connected with the other outsiders first and you'll eventually meet some of the official members, which will eventually get you an invite depending on your in character and out of character actions. The reason I say "out of character", is nobody wants a complete fool who will give their faction a bad name. Good luck

Basically, everyone will say the same, more or less. But let's give it a chance.

I could also add a tip to my answer. It usually helps if you don't follow stereotypes and add some originality into your character, but it isn't always necessary. This usually gets people's attention easier and quicker, though, and will make the process a lot easier. Most of the time, their standards aren't so high and they'll still accept you - if you're willing to learn, that is.

It's hard to join the server and just join a faction at the same time. Usually factions only recruit people they have some trust... This is mainly to avoid snitching problems. So ye, you probably should first keep around some time, maybe join unofficial, try to RP & help the most you can some official faction you want to enter and eventually you'll find your way in with time...

To join an unofficial, try checking the LS job center.. You may find some legal cover for some officials...not sure though.


Quick tip: avoid OOC contact with any member of a faction, even less with a t1/0 (high ranks)...your chances of entering the faction will probably decrease a lot.

In fact, building an OOC friendship with some high ranked faction member may help you out somehow. That way you can building trusted relationship, even though it is via OOC.

I dunno when I joined IM it was really easy to join a faction.
Now it's just annoying but not so hard either.
I think the best way now is to help them do runs/robberies or something...
And let them see that you're not a retard.
IF you'll help and you won't ask them to invite u or something they'll just invite you I guess.

And you can always join a legal faction (For me joining a legal faction is a pain in the ass, but for some it's much easier cuz they can't get into illegal faction easily.)

Well basic tips. Search for advertisements. Almost all factions have a business that they use to recruit. You can try by contacting advertisements. Dont rulebreak ,obey rules. Hang around where are they at. Keep it in RP way. Dont pm people and such. Then they will think about you rulebreaker ,mixer etc. Make a nice view infront of them. Do your best and always RP. If you have friends in factions try to contact by them.Then you will find a nice plce for yourself Have patience eheh.
