[Solved] Mouse problems. (Logitech MX518)

I have loved this mouse since the beginning. It was perfcet size, I liked the design and the movement was very fluent.. But now I have malfunctions with this mouse. Sometimes like the red LED just goes off and I can't use it anymore. Same happens when it stutters. I can move very slowely and then it stops. It also reaches a point where I hear the disconnect sound and the red LED turns off again. I don't know what to do. The mouse still works perfectly on my second computer and that's why I tried swapping mouses. That worked but I realy want to use my MX518 again.

Things I have already tried:
- Try all USB inputs.
- Blow into the inputs to avoid dust.
- Install gaming software drivers from Logitech.
- Trying to use it on a flat surface. (I am not using a mouse-mat but a wooden flat surface, desk).

On a sidenote, what should be a similiar mouse that I can use? I was thinking about the Razer Abyssus. Nice and relatively cheap.

Hm.. I don't know about the problem but im Using Razer Naga for about two years and it worked perfectlly for me. It got 12 buttons on the side which is helpfull when you are playing games with Macros. But yea.. I'd reccomand you the Razer Naga

I don't know how can you fix it but if you need a new mouse you can use Razer Lachesis (ver. 2)

Quency has a StealSeries mouse which is cheap and great. I'll tell him to reply the name of the model here.

Have you tried to contact to Logitech's support center ?

I do have a MX518 and sometimes it doesn't co-operate with my USB entry's and shuts down when I'm example in a game or something like that, but starts working out again after like two seconds, when I had my old laptop it only used to work in one USB entry, I guess the mouse has his an own life and doesn't like some computer's, I'm currently on my desktop for about.. a month or so and I have never had any problems with it. I have actually found a solution for you, attempt this.

The cable is probably broken at one point, buy a new mouse, google on the tag, best gamers mouses

I'd recommend you something, which could help you a lot. Do you have a lighter with a red small lamp on it? If no, go and purchase one. Then remove the red small lamp from the lighter and re-place it with this one on the mouse. I did this once and the mouse worked perfect as it worked before. I hope this will help you, also it wouldn't hurt to your IRL budget

I had this same problem for a long time. Just disable the power saver auto-disconnect on the mouse driver and it fixes most of the time.

Are you using an adapter? I've had this problem with a mouse where my PC went mental literally and my mouse always stopped working, had to get a new mouse.
