[Answered] Problem running some games in full screen!! HELP !

Hi everyone,

Well I have problems running "some" games in full screen, example: Battlefield III , Counter Strike 1.6, Saints Row the Third and many other games. The games appears in the middle of the screen where in the right and in the left they are black, I have tryied to google that and looked for solutions, but I couldn't find. I have tried to change the resolutions even IG, and IG it says that it fits the screen, but it doesn't. So please help me. Thanks for advance

No man, that's not what I've ment, the game works fine, but it is not in full screen, that's the problem

Its because of your monitor
some games do not support 'wide screen'
if you have a wide screen LCD/LED monitor try this to solve it

1: go in game's options>graphics/display option and change resolution to highest possible

2: some games has option of ratio in same place turn widescreen ratio on (16:9)

3: press your monitor's menu key and press 'fit to screen' option

doing these will remove the problem from mostly any new game and reduce it in old games
as old games have limitations regarding screen resolution sizes

Check your graphic card drivers and your screen driver, if they are updated and even installed. Also check if you have the latest version of directX

I have the same problem. I've tried everything - updating drivers, downloading the latest versions of DirectX, and so on. Sand Andreas is an old game, there you could try restore an old update. It was when I updated my driver to the newest one years ago that bug happened to me too.

If you have updated the videocard and it worked before the update excellent. Put the previous version back it will solve the problems

It's same on my laptop and i think have some problem with my Windows or with my Graphic Card.But seacth nearly options in your games size and change it to 1024x1080.

i have same laptop
old games doesn't work in fullscreen
i have tried a lot of things to solve it , but i guess its problem with old games only

This depends on how games are desired and what your monitor supports.
If it doesn't support wide screen in especial game, then you won't have wide screen.

The other solution could also be to set your settings on your ghx card config app. to full screen meaning no matter if the game is designed for wide screen or not the game will take up your entire screen.. though it will be a little streached in the process.

I've never found a solution for this question and never will. Like you guys said, it depends on the PC and the game, so mark it as an answered question.
