I saw some arguing about this new update and I saw PD members saying they would ignore the "holster" guns since it would be ONE MORE reason for players to provoke PD and encourage DM. Given this and the fact I was never arrested or approached by any PD member for having a gun in my holster, I assumed PD was ignoring it.
I asked Kyle if PD was ignoring or not, which he answered that they are mostly ignoring it, however they have the right of not doing that. So what Sean did was basically legit.
Well I don't mind playing with PD being able to see your "holster guns" and take their IC actions based on that, I would set binds to store and take guns from car and would get used to the binds....
However... the server script is not prepared for this kind of RP. I say this mainly for two reasons:
1st - If I store my guns in the car, to avoid being seen by the officers with guns on me, and to follow the IG law... everyone that passes by my car, being inside of it or outside, they can /takegun and take all my guns....Is it realistic if I have guns inside my car and the car locked, anyone can take the guns while standing outside????
2nd - the sniper... How can I store my sniper if the script doesn't allow me??
So basically, The server script is clearly NOT prepared to this RP of the guns on the holster. I only see two possible solutions:
1. LEOs ignore the guns in the holsters in ALL situations....
2. woot adapts the script and makes two changes:
- 1 - you can only /takegun if you are inside the car
2 - Snipers can be stored in cars, however the command /takegun (sniper slot) would be restricted to T1+... This way ppl wont be able to abuse it passing snipers to T2's.
EDIT:

At this moment, If I put an m4 in the car and my partner puts his m4 too, the server doesn't split them and allow to take them separately. Instead, the server merges all the guns of the same time (slot) and therefore only 1 person car take the m4... That's also a big problem that should be fixed.
